What’s a farm share?

An investment you make to support the farm now in return for fresh produce when the season begins. You’re reaping the rewards with us but also sharing the risk that season may not go as planned. But you are not just helping us, you’re also taking part in the local food movement and supporting produce grown with environmentally responsible practices. We want to thank you for checking out our farm and hope you choose to join us!

How our farm share program works…

We offer completely customizable shares (that’s right, you pick what you want each week and can skip as many weeks as you want). Our customizable shares work on a credit system; you can purchase a minimum of $150 in credits which you will use during the season to choose your share items. We also offer traditional farmer’s choice shares of varying sizes where we pick for you.

Our 2024 growing season is 20 weeks and expected to run from May 22nd until October 9th, however the exact dates are subject to change.

The farmer’s choice options are great for folks who:

  • Want to try new vegetables

  • Expect they may forget to go to the online store each week to choose their items

  • Want to get items each week for the whole season

The custom share is great for folks who:

  • Plan on being gone multiple weeks throughout the season

  • Have things they like and things they don’t

  • Aren’t sure they want to make a big commitment

Work shares…

In an effort to get more involved in the community, we are offering a very limited number of work shares! We would love you to help us grow for you and in exchange you’ll receive a share! We are looking for people who:

  • Are enthusiastic and hard-working

  • Can work in all types of conditions (heat, rain, etc.) and in multiple positions (kneeling, standing, bent over)

  • Are at least 18 years of age (or children 6 and older accompanied by an adult)

  • Can commit at least 2 hours per week, preference will be given to those who can commit more (but no more than 4 per week)

  • Can commit to at least 18 weeks during the growing season

What kinds of produce can I expect in 2024?

  • Greens: salad mixes; spinach; arugula; kale; bok choy

  • Tomatoes: heirloom; cherry; plum

  • Cucumbers: slicing; pickling

  • Root veggies: carrots; beets; radishes; snacking turnips

  • Peppers: bell; hot; roasting

  • Onions: bunching; fresh; storage

  • Beans: green; pole

  • Potatoes: new; storage

  • Snap peas

  • Broccoli

  • Cauliflower

  • Romanesco

  • Garlic

  • Kohlrabi

  • Brussels sprouts

  • Melons: watermelon; cantaloupe

  • Winter squash: acorn; butternut; delicata; pumpkins

  • …and more!

What can I expect from my farmer?

  • Fresh produce grown using organic principles - because we are so new, we aren’t certified organic (yet), but can assure you that we follow to the same principles (see “Growing Practices”)

  • An open line of communication - we want you to be able to tell us whether you enjoy or don’t enjoy something, how we can better serve you, and any ideas/recipes you want to share, and we will do the same!

  • Adherence to food and health safety guidelines - we maintain a clean wash/pack area and use food-safe sanitizers and packaging
